A D J E C T I V E S
ADJECTIVE PARTICLE | POSITIVE | KOMPARATIVE | SUPERLATIVE | |
good | i | devryn(y) | devrin(e) | najdevrin(e) |
new | i | nevyn(y) | nevin(e) | najnevin(e) |
A d j e c t i v e s ..are regular and it is very easy to recognize them, having always the suffix » yn « in singular and » yny « in plural. The "y" is pronounced as short Turkish dotless » I « (close central unrounded vowel, phonetically [i"] or [1] - the barred "i"), not far from the schwa [ë] sound (mid central vowel, phonetically [@] - the 180° turned "e"). The genitive (possessive) particle [i] or [gi] before an adjective is important. We don't use it if there is a preposition or any other case particle instead of. These special particles are pronounced together with the preceding word - e.g. dane gi daštyny [da:neji daSt1n1] = rainy days.
A R T I C L E S
as | the | definite article |
ta | the | definite article after sibilants |
y | a | indefinite article |
yn | an | indefinite article before a vowel |
Definite & indefinite article are used not very often in this constructed language. It is because they are not so important as e.g. in Romance or Germanic languages. You may use them as you please, but... The "as" should be (always) used in accusative, being at once an accusative particle and the definite article.
